It was a pretty intense weekend for me, culminating with getting Sandman : The Kindly Ones at Borders on Saturday and a brand new desktop today. It's a huge deal for me. The computer's my biggest recent purchase save my car, a few years ago. Being able to afford a replacement for my ailing, rapidly aging laptop is a huge relief, and it marks a point where I'm able to make that kind of purchase without a case of nerves.
You know, of course it also comes with the pain of reinstalling software, waiting for FFXI updates to finish, and realizing that it doesn't come with Office installed, but a 60-day trial, which sends me looking for my copy of Office 2003 somewhere while the bundled printer does come with ink, but doesn't come with the required USB cable to connect it to my computer. Oops.
And overall, I don't have anything witty to say. It was a really busy, really fun weekend where everything really went pretty smoothly and I got this new thing that really makes my life better.
