So, that's probably the other shoe.
I mentioned a little while ago that my mind had more or less been made for me when it comes to my work situation. IE : That I'm going to be getting a new job because I won't have the old one anymore. That, by itself, pretty much puts my current living situation into doubt for reasons that I believe to be pretty evident. Yesterday, I was informed by my friend and roommate that the situation is a bit more urgent then I thought, in that his restaurant isn't really making enough money and it's going to be forced to close its doors.
I'm not really happy to hear that for a couple of different reasons. The most obvious is that this is pretty much his bag, and to see it fail after a year is disheartening. He also pays half the rent, and that business wasn't just for grins.
So, I don't know. The idea of going back to my recruiter and saying, "Can you get me another tech support gig?" doesn't sound all that appealing. I see this as my chance to go in a different direction. But on the other hand, what else is there?

Working for me so far, but your mileage may vary.

The problems that I've had recently have run counter to my basic plan and to my fall back, but honestly, that's nothing new.
