Archon is the big convention around St Louis this time of year, and my friends and I are going as Batman villains. I'm personally going as The Riddler, which is really just a green suit and finding somewhere to put question marks. It's pricier then it sounds. I ended up buying a suit online and paying for expedited shipping in order to get it before Friday.
Pictures on completion. I think it'll be cool.
There's been some other fun-type news. I'm so late to the party about the Nintendo DS that it's pretty silly, but I'm playing Pheonix Wright. It looks like there's about 5 chapters and I've finished the first two, so it seems like an awfully quick game, but I'm really quite ok with that.
I'm finally going to get a chance to play Persona : Innocent Sin in English, which is quite nice. My copy has shipped, so I'm really looking foward to that. Eternal Punishment is one of my favorite games that are out there.
There had been enough noise made about Minecraft 1.8 (and the soon to be released proper 1.9) that I've logged back in to muck about in it. I really enjoy practicing different architectural techniques, and as I do, my buildings become more complex and better structured. It takes me forever to complete even the simplest structures though, since I only play for a few minutes to half an hour a day, typically, as a method of relaxation. Some people like to blow things up, and I like to re-order caves and mine complexes, build paths, and construct towers. Ho hum.
Pretty dull. I'm planning on running a series of WoD games for Katie and whoever on Saturdays or whenever starting after Archon as kind of a further introduction to gaming for Katie and as a chance to get to run a game with a slightly different atmosphere and process for myself. I'm going to have a lot more time open in the pretty near future though, since I finally got the notice that I'm out of the job again as of October 7th. It's a bummer, and it's not as 'end of October' as I had been hoping, but it's not really a surprise at this point.
