Had an ok weekend. Actually, Saturday was pretty good and Sunday was really good because we went to the Ben Folds concert. Katie had gotten really good tickets months ago, so we ended up with really good front and center balcony seats at Powell Hall for his performance with the St Louis Symphony.
So that was really nice.
I'm participating in NaNo and I guess I've got something like 8k words, which I guess means I'm behind. We woke up this morning and the weather's got this gray, rainy thing going for it which is good for writing, reading, and really anything where I don't have to get out there and really deal with the world. Just wrangle some cats at the house, do some cleaning, and see if I can find some opportunities in the job world. My frustration's been bleeding into my writing, but at least said writing's progressing, so I'm just going to keep on with it.
After all, I'm not the only one. Maybe the sentiment will reach readers.
I just wanted to check in a little. It's been a little odd moving in with Katie because we now see each other all the time, and the inverse is suddenly true with my friends a few minutes away. That dynamic has really changed, but it's not entirely unwelcome. I've really liked spending my time with Katie and having a little space between my other friends and I has kind of given me some breathing room from their antics. My friends are great, but sometimes, living with them could be a real headache. I'm sure they felt the same way about me. XD
