This is the Preface.

We gave over a month almost exclusively over to the wedding events before jumping immediately to finalizing a nerd prom plan that kicked off exactly a week after the ceremony and reception. Both of us wanted to spend some quiet time together and even went through the trouble of promising each other that we'd kick back for several days in a row and just watch Arrested Development and quietly drink and eat ourselves into gentle comas, out of the ensnaring grasp of social responsibilities and the clutches of internet addiction. Instead we immediately kicked off into double-time so, at least, after about a month of working double-time, we're getting back to normal.

Which sounds good until you recall that normal means we have an okay amount of time available but no money and surrounded by hurricane-force drama.
