Well, the slur is really directed at liberals and there's another, separate slur directed at D&D players. As I recall, the D&D one is basically that role-players are sheltered, delusional man-children. I imagine that the campaigner that wrote the entry imagines role-players as knock-offs of the Simpson's Comic Book Guy.
Liberal Obama supporters are then compared to those imagined man-children, and so are also sheltered, delusional, 'non-real-men' unlike the tough, hawkish conservative base.
So, it's not like I'm really giving McCain a pass. At its heart, its a ridiculous, stupid thing to say. I'm just not surprised, and politically, he doesn't lose anything. That's all I'm saying.
