In Which I Indulge In Dead Arts.

Letter writing isn't something people really do a lot anymore. Firing off an email is easier and more convenient. There's no waiting involved. Hell, you probably check email several times a day if you're even remotely like me. I imagine many of you check it even more frequently. I am not going to beat the anti-electronic correspondent drum tonight, all I'm going to say is that writing a letter is substantially different then writing an email, and an art that I wish I had pursued more vigorously before this point.

I lack any kind of decent stationary, but I think I'll be writing more letters in the future. I should get a pen pal.

well, I prefer writing on bond paper. Anyway, writing a letter is a lot more charming than firing an email, as you say. Hell, writing in a diary makes a lot more sense than posting on a blog. But then again each has its own pros and cons. I would suggest having me as a pen pal but then again I don't live in America, hehe.

And I keep a series of paper journals as well. The one I've got right now I really like. I found it in my basement a year or so ago, and it's a holdover from the 70s. It had never been used.

Ooh, 70s memorabilia, huh? That would make an excellent journal. Vintage paper just makes the experience more interesting. It's like you're writing on a piece of history, and not just on paper.
