Letter writing isn't something people really do a lot anymore. Firing off an email is easier and more convenient. There's no waiting involved. Hell, you probably check email several times a day if you're even remotely like me. I imagine many of you check it even more frequently. I am not going to beat the anti-electronic correspondent drum tonight, all I'm going to say is that writing a letter is substantially different then writing an email, and an art that I wish I had pursued more vigorously before this point.

I lack any kind of decent stationary, but I think I'll be writing more letters in the future. I should get a pen pal.

Ooh, 70s memorabilia, huh? That would make an excellent journal. Vintage paper just makes the experience more interesting. It's like you're writing on a piece of history, and not just on paper.
