I'm really settling in for an exhausting second half of the week - my students all have a final draft of an essay due tomorrow, and I'm going to see Metric with Kay in the evening. Saturday, we're taking cats to the vet to get some shots and the vet's across the river. It's always packed, so we're going to see how early we can get up, out, and back. After that, though, at least Sunday should be easy. I've got a game tonight, which I was thinking about cancelling because of the other stuff and potentially going to see Sen. Sanders at SIUE Friday morning, but I want to go to the game and the Sanders thing was just way too last minute to plan on going to. Especially since it's when I teach and there's little way for me to work around that.

Like, yeah, okay - I wish I could, but it's not like going'd has any chance of changing my vote in the primary, since I'm already planning on voting for Sanders.

Spring "Break" starts on Monday, and I'm thinking about pushing the scheduled final date on the re-write back another week to give me one or two days over the break I won't have to fuck with grading, but we'll really see. There's little that's less exciting than staring down the barrel of 50 mediocre essays, and I'm pretty far behind from where I want to be on my thesis. My goal is to hit some theory, some essays, and some 'zines on the subject of Afrofuturism. I need to read Baudrillard and Michel de Certeau pretty badly, which shouldn't be so hard to find, but the very few books in the entire library network of SIUE are fucking completely unrequestable, which feels insane. Why am I even here if the library can't get me the books I want? Fuck this, honestly.

Back to work, though.
