My Saturday is much akin to a regular persons Sunday in that I frequently attempt to spend it almost totally unavailable, if possible. This concept that I've just laid before you does not take into account that, typically, my Friday is also kind of like anothers' Sunday and also that this Monday through Friday concept, as a whole, is basically only a tale from our sordid cultural past these days. Regardless, you know what I mean.
Having spent Friday in the company of some people playing games and, in addition, having spent both Thursday and Friday achieving a certain amount of intoxication (via alcohol, over a period of time), I was exhausted. I am not really built for extroversion. Conversations with people make me nervous and I become over-excited. I basically had a conversation-hangover the next day - my body felt fine, but I could not bring myself to leave my apartment for any reason whatsoever. Instead I cooked, cleaned, and played Kingdom Hearts; the combination of which acted like some kind of medication. People have comfort foods, which I have, judiciously adding Windex to the mix, probably via mashing the 'triangle' button furiously.
I should arrive in St Louis on the 6th of this month, where I will probably be picked up by Matt at roughly 3:30 which means, additionally, that I can expect to lost that day utterly to what I expect will later be referred to as alcohol poisoning. I've made no plans other then the pickup. I'm judging entirely off of historical precedent. I believe it's fair to assume I'll do something on the 7th, and the 8th is occupied chiefly by some terrible game of Matt's creation. Terrible in that it uses OWoD rules which (of course he is) are universally defunct for mortals games and inferior in almost all ways to the newer, shiner NWoD. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it and whatever else is put together, since I have several people I expect to see and many more that I, sadly, expect to miss. There never is enough time on vacation.
I'd like to spend the evening of the 6th at Stagger, which would be a good place to meet.
I had some thoughts on geekery in general, but they weren't interesting, so I destroyed them. I hope you have a nice Sunday.
