I was only in Fairview for a very limited amount of time. I'm not sure I got what I came for, but I did get something out of it besides just a few nights drinking and a fun larp.
Someone (a few people) commented that they'd like me to move back. Naturally, to do what made me happy, but they'd be happy to see me in the area again. My question, like it always is, is move back and what? I have met my goals in Seattle, and now I'm just winding my time out and trying to determine my next step. That in itself is a goal, I know, but one that's relaxed. I do it when I just maintain a decent attitude and when I'm being honest with myself.
I've got a job here and I can keep my head well above water, but what I want to do is climb out of the pool entirely. If I can achieve my next goal by moving back, that's what I'll do. If I need to stay, I'll do that too. For the time being, I'm frustrated, because on coming back, there's some confusion with my rent I need to take up with the apartment manager and some issue with me leaving for St. Louis in the first place - I was never supposed to have Sunday off, but Request Granted in bold letters in my e-mail seems to have lead me to a different understanding and I'm sure it's as hard for you to determine why that would be as it is for me, in retrospect.
I am as shocked as you that something went wrong in my travel arrangements. I am not the kind of fellow who seems to have strange things happen to him for difficult to explain reasons.
The weather is nice up here. Good luck with your week, everyone.
