Been a long day - not bad, just... visited a friend who isn't able to get out much and restocked my tea reserves (so crucial, lately) and I guess Gibson had a new book out and nobody told me? Like, that's fine, but I went into a Books-A-Million to kind of get some coffee and window shop and they had one paperback copy of "The Peripheral" left and we picked it up.
Probably not going to get a chance to read it for a hot minute but, hey, whatever. Add it to the stack of incentives to finish my work.
Which is going okay. I'm not getting any writing done today, and I'm physically and mentally exhausted, so it's... whatever, really. I don't like missing a day of writing, but it happens. I guess I've got about thirty pages of the pre-edit final draft done, which is... I don't know, half the page count I'm supposed to shoot for roughly, but about a third of the content. Some of it's good and some of it's really rough, and I'm not entirely sure which is which, but as long as I'm moving through one idea completely and into the next, covering the ground I need to cover and making the connections, I feel like that's the really critical thing.
I've finally committed to a plan for my future gaming, which should be Exalted, and those emails are going out pretty shortly. It's post-December, so I'll have some time to make that happen - two games, unrelated, on totally different schedules. Probably both bi-weekly, swapped weeks. The Skype game will probably end up being even more sporadic, but that's my plan for now.
Trying not to overload my schedule as I'm transitioning out of thesis mode, because even though I'm close to being finished, the workload hasn't lightened up at all. Tonight's schedule is def. just making sure everything is clean and ready for tomorrow, and that I'm well rested and good to work.
