I wanted to do this with pics, but hey, I don't have many!
1. First Name:
Keith. Kind of common. I'm named after my father.
2. Age:
Solidly 24. Kind of a drag.
3. Location:
Fairview Heights, IL.
But.
I mean, everyone knows I'm moving, so.
4. Occupation:
Nothing! Yeah! Whoo!
It's not like I don't want to work, but my last gig was pretty soul-destroying. I can't say I've got a career, but I've counted and I've worked about 12 jobs or so. The chief lesson behind this is that weird stuff needs doing, and you can find out a lot about the world and how it works by doing menial labor.
But doing it too long will ruin you, so.
5. Partner?
[Unknown site tag]No, and sometimes that gets me a little down; it's been one of those things that's been behind a lot of the recent musings about my life.
I'm probably not going to worry about this for a little while, then.
6. Kids:
It's not that I don't like kids, but they're trying. I mean, I just remember my childhood and keep deciding I couldn't do that.
7. Brothers/Sisters:
I've got to little brothers. One is 21 and, as far as I can tell, incarcerated for stealing a church van. But, well, he says he didn't. I'll let the law decide, because I love my brother, but I don't trust him at all anymore. Kind of tragic, really.
I've got another little brother named Trevor who's my half-brother and lives in New York with my grandparents, who are great to him. My last gift was a collection of D&D 3.0 core books. I hope he's been getting some use out of them.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
a. Getting over my old nostalgias and hang-ups, while still remembering my past.
b. I'm moving across the country. It's making me really nervous.
c. Putting away my fear of succeeding.
d. Deciding to put something on the line and quitting my shitty, life-destroying old job for a chance at something else.
e. Dealing with being single again, which is weird.
10. Parents?
Oh man. My dad's in his late 40's now. A bass player since he was a teenager, he's really good, but has passed up every opportunity to advance in any kind of band or event where he'd turn it into something more then a hobby because he was afraid he wasn't up to the task. He used to own his own business making trailer parts with his siblings, but it went under. Working as a web designer, he was a moderate success until my mom separated from him and revealed we were actually in the hole and racking up massive debts. Now he's making a poor hourly wage and paying off his bills. I'm both proud of him and a little disappointed. He's gotten by, but never let himself be really successful.
My mother lives in Belleville, and besides the fact that business is slow and she's barely making ends meet, I don't know much right now. We're still on good terms, though.
11. Who are some of your closest friends?
Actually, I hate answering this kind of question. I've got friends I've known longer, and friends I know better, but I really don't understand how I'm supposed to process the question of friendship-proximity. I guess it has something to do with the term 'friend'. If I've ever given you a phone call, then you're a friend.
