I put posting here on the To Do List, so I gotta. Things that arn't on the list don't get done, really, but it's surprisingly effective at getting the things I really, really don't want any part of taken care of. Which is good, since I have a lot of shit on my plate at the moment, and it's easy to get overwhelmed.
Which is what I always say. I should branch out a little.
In what I can only call part of our ceaseless grab for the attention of you and everyone, Katie and I got engaged last weekend. This was one of the things I intended to post about more or less right away and got sidetracked since it comes in the middle of repeated calls to our insurance company re: a flooded, toxic basement crawlspace, having a third person stay with us bringing the number of people without jobs in the household from 1 to 2 of 3, looking for work, and generally fighting with the MO unemployment insurance programs. The last thing isn't something that I have experienced direct resistance from; there's plenty of indirect, momentum-based resistance to go around to the point where deriving any kind of benefit from the program is functionally a part-time job in its own right, complete with frequent commutes across the river that take up about half a day.
So, what was I talking about? Um, yeah, so we're getting married. In a year. And I guess that's what I'm posting to say, since I forgot all the other stuff I wanted to post about and this is pretty much going to get top billing over anything else so I guess that stuff can all wait.
Alright then! I'll post something this weekend if anything comes to mind, but other then that, have a good weekend.
