Billy Corgan fucking played Space Oddity in concert. I don't even know how to detail I rad I found that.

Katie got tickets for incredibly cheap for the Smashing Pumpkins concert in St. Louis for this evening. Something like $10 bucks a piece. The seats ended up being two from the front row, pretty much in front of the stage.

Interesting, I saw the pumpkins live in 1998 in Indianapolis in a warehouse concert. They were horrid live. Blind Melon was their opener and they were vastly superior as a band.

I suppose a decade of performing can improve someone's stage show, who knew?

What's a few years between friends?

Their performance was good and their occasional interludes between songs were okay, but honestly, their sound levels were pretty poor. The opening band had the same problem, where the acoustics weren't great and they got loud, and then a lot of the differentiation was lost at high volumes.

I'm not, like, a sound nerd, so I'm not sure if that's a thing that happens exactly, but that's what it sounded like. That was the biggest issue of the concert, and it was a pretty big issue, but I don't get to go out that often, so I'm more or less determined to enjoy the performance.

Glad you enjoyed. I saw Smashing Pumpkins and Garbage once and enjoyed the show.

I'm not the biggest Pumpkins fan in the world, but that is pretty rad.
