This is just your weekly Weston reminding you that I don't just have one or two characters written up waiting to go, but that I literally have a file folder on my computer simply titled RPG Dossiers. One of my arbitrary fun-time goals is to have a character written up of every different Exalt type for 2.5, and I'm branching out into Pathfinder, Vampire, and Mage.
I am a nerd.
Has anyone got any role-playing stories lately? Like, is anyone gaming? How's it going? I haven't been playing all that much lately, (but I've got some gaming stuff coming up in the generally near future), and there are people here I just haven't talked to in way too long about anything, much less gaming.
I have a hunch I'm not gonna get a lot of bites on this because I don't get a huge amount of comments, but I know some of you actually do read this, so I'm interested in what you're up to. Rambling or ranting is acceptable, if that's what you got.

Nickle Tour Part 1
The society is very superstitious and largely anti-magic. The PC is from a family where the grandmother and aunt are both known witches with the grandmother being the local midwife.
So the PC is extremely loyal towards those friends she has and relies upon them for her views of right and wrong. The rest of the group is fairly good aligned with my PC being the neutral of 'These are my friends and I'll do what ever it takes to make sure they are safe'. She's extremely good looking and unconsciously charismatic but socially awkward. The story as I see see it one where she's slowly coming into her own and recognizing herself for the power she is becoming and the woman that she has the potential to be. A lot of her views right now are shaped by her outcast social status but as her power grows there will be issues of both fear and desire from her society to deal with. Not to mention that I'm building into a story of religious identity which will make for some interesting twists and turns.
There you go that's the nickle tour.

And, I know that you run in some pretty open/accepting circles, so it's probably not all that odd for someone to be playing a character of a different sex/gender than they are, but do you get any weird feedback from playing a female character? I noticed some pretty interesting (from a social dynamic perspective) results when I played one at my last Exalted campaign.

I have had mixed reactions. Early on one of the other players male/male character hit on my PC. He had to change the relationship because he had a hard time RPing out that dynamic to one that was more brotherly. But really that's alright with me the two PC would of made horrid romantic interests. In my experience girls have an easier time gender bending than guys do. Societal norms hit them differently. Though I often wonder why I don't see more gender bending in RP.
