I don't do much gaming stuff at work, unlike some people I know. Well, I'd like to, but I'm so easy to distract that trying to research out of a book or write something longer then a paragraph is tough going. Instead, I read DaveB's Actual Play about his Mage games, and I love them so. I realized he was doing some of the work for the Seers of the Throne, which I've suddenly discovered a renewed sense of interest in.
Because I need more Mage books, people. Please. I have one half of my tiny bookshelf dedicated to teal-colored book spines. The other half is dedicated to a forlorn copy of Wraith: the Oblivion and a rainbow of 1st Ed. Exalted books.
So, I know that I've been running a few bad sessions of Exalted, and my last one was the best so far, but it was still pretty mediocre. I have a much clearer understanding of why, and honestly I have to say that I'm a little obsessed with it these days. I know what it's going to take to make the games better and a big part is a shitload more work then I've been putting into it already. But one thing I can say the last session did for me is reinvigorate my sense of gaming purpose. I continue to develop a surer direction and ST-style that I hope to bring to the fore. Like writing or any other creative endeavor, it takes practice and work, so I'm looking forward to it.
New car is finally here. I'm releaved rather then excited. I can get to the business of paying it off and being responsible with my money. Is that nerdy? It sounds nerdy. What's my turn-ons? A walk on the beach and fiscal responsibility. >_>
