I spent a marginal amount of time looking into the job thing before I realized that everyone is more or less screwed, forever. The food service industry is relatively rife with the Zen understanding that one job at minimum wage is very much like another and that employment, like life, is transitory.

That's the philosophical take on it. The personal involves more detail and a lot more name calling, at high volume, from the relative safety of the living room. We did eventually find out the reasons for the termination, such as they were. None of them were really for what we would normally think of as 'offenses', so I'm going to classify them as what we like to call 'bullshit'. For those playing at home, it doesn't matter at all, though; there is no recourse. Do not pass Go, do not collect a paycheck. That's the end of that story anyhow. It could be a lot worse, and there might be some tangentially related good news in the future, but it's generally less interesting so whatever.

Ok, I'm going to Anime St Louis this weekend. I've got some time off for it, so we're in business. That's the other relevent news. I was going to chat about ability-selection-heavy games like Exalted and Burning Wheel (was other exceptions and similarities) and character creation issues that I see crop up a lot, but I am seriously out of time.
