Finally at that point in the semester where I just kind of want off the ride. I've got a report to submit on an 1800's reprint of a serial fiction novel and a presentation on Wednesday for a short text I pulled from EEBO (Early English Books Online). There's some interesting stuff on there, but I don't really have time to dick around, so access was very grab-and-go. We've still got these really adorable cats, but they've cost us a fortune in vet bills. Looks like December is still gonna be pretty tight, financially, but not as bad as most years thanks to being able to pull in extra from TA'ing.

Speaking of which, we ended up talking in Comp 101 about Mizzou for a whole class. Don't know if the kids are gonna want to hash out Beirut, Garissa, and Paris on Monday. I'm not sure I do. That these happened all at once seems intentional. Hell of a day.

Edit: For posterity, anyhow, on Monday I looked a lot closer at the articles that I was referring to and it became clear to me that the Garissa shooting happened months ago, and I just didn't hear about it. The article ended up trending at the same time, and I don't know why, exactly, but I wasn't the only one that made this mistake. Still, facts are facts.
