I like the Exalted books fine, but one of the biggest issues I've run into is that 1) there's a lot of them and 2) critical information is frequently just scattered anywhere in the book. I keep having to search for how much it costs to buy things with experience, for example. I think Brent found the rules for clinches a few days ago, so that's nice.
I intended to kind of look through the books and pin down what rules were where so we could look them up quickly. My obsessive nature eventually devolved into documenting what spells could be found in The Book of 3Circles, never minding that there are a metric ton of them lurking from cover to cover.
In the course of my documentation, which I am too far along in to stop now, I have learned that there are a large number of spells that nobody will ever buy. They cost too much exp for what they do, which I guess is why I've never heard of them. There's a spell that creates invincible bronze snakes that only bite livestock.
That is an amazingly specific need.
