Hello, yes.

I've been gone for a little while. There are no particular reasons for this which is, in fact, the whole reason. Nothing has been happening. I have not even been drinking myself into a black hole. There's been a lot of nothing at all.

There are periods like this. I consider this acceptable, but not terrific.

Last week, there were no RPG sessions (see above), which is a little like having a vacation from a job you really enjoy.* Maybe you're having a drink or watching a movie instead of... whatever nice thing you would conceptually do. It's still a nice break as long since meetings or beers don't have a lot of pressure. But Exalted is back today.

Changeling is back for Sunday. Changeling has been a real pleasure to run for me. Last game actually had me laughing out loud at the situation the players firmly put themselves into. They tried to out-maneuver whoever the mole was and spoke without thinking, and now they're dealing with the results. Oh ho ho. They're really in for it now, bubba.

They will be eaten alive. Maybe literally. There are things that do that. Some of them are politicians, but the others are all Changelings. Yes, indeed.

A lot of times, Vi has pestered me to go to some improv thing in St Louis. It is far and I am pretty much a shut-in. I don't mind, really. I've gotten good at it. It takes practice. Viski knows the secret language that drives me, though. I believe the code was 'short', 'drinks', and 'carpool, I will drive'. If you say those things, I don't even care where we go or what happens. It was fun. Improv is cute. It was interesting to see those people standing there and saying things, and I think someone hugged me, but I don't know why. I had my wallet after it was over, so it was probably not malicious. Maybe some people just like hugging things.

Is that a thing? That sounds reasonable.

Politics is really funny lately. And by funny, I mean that I think it's funny, but that doesn't mean it is. It is also probably horrible. I'm glad that health care bill got passed. Like, too little, too late, but I am not going to complain so much. It is a small little thing, but people's reactions are very big on television.

You can't trust television news, really. It makes less sense then fiction. Maybe it always has.

I failed to get a new driver's license. When I checked the website, it basically just said I needed an valid out of state ID but that was only pertaining to if I needed to test or not. Totally missed the part where I needed 3 forms of ID. A yearbook counts but a college ID doesn't. I don't know how this works.

At that point I did what and logical person is going to do being put into this situation. No, not getting the required identification and driving back. I pulled up Hulu and decided to watch some The Daily Show! Hurrah!

This is what never fails to fascinate me. Stewart is basically the toughest interview in town, on any network. Regardless of who wins the debate, and regardless of the fact that this is a comedy show, Stewart's coverage of the news and maybe more importantly, his interviews with guests, are more intense then anything else I see on TV. I was particularly impressed with the fact that they actually opened up the health care bill and actually discussed readings directly from the bill. It took up at least half the episode. Pretty fucking hardcore, if you ask me.
